FL Canoeing Adventure, Central Florida

We have teamed up with Outward Bound again. This canoe expedition includes learning the art of paddling in a variety of water conditions as well as portaging, orienteering, expedition planning, and Leave No Trace wilderness living. Participants paddle with a partner, which means they must learn to work together and communicate effectively to navigate a variety of waterways such as lakes, rivers and swamps.
Central Florida is home to some of the country’s most historic and biologically diverse waterways. The Suwannee River, Ocklawaha River and St John’s River offer hundreds of miles of paddling in some of the country’s most unspoiled wilderness.
Participants will also develop teamwork , leadership and confidence while working together with their group to meet daily expeditioning goals, set-up camp, navigate and cooking excellent river meals.
Course Features: This course includes four to five days of canoeing through Central Flordia’s Rivers.
Registration is NOW OPEN for children of Navy SEALs & Naval Special Warfare, aged 12-14.

Backpacking & Climbing, Appalachian Mountains NC

We have teamed up with Outward Bound again. Join us as we backpack and climb through some of the oldest mountains in the world! This journey will take you deep into Western North Carolina, home to hundreds of waterfalls, over a million acres of national forest, park and public land, roaring rivers and the highest peaks in the Eastern United States.
This rock climbing focused course teaches participants to tie knots, belay, and read rock faces for climbs. These skills will then be put to the test over several days of progressive climbs.
Participants will also develop teamwork, leadership and confidence while working together with their group to meet daily expeditioning goals, set-up camp, navigate and cooking excellent backcountry meals.
Course Features
This course includes three to four days backpacking, up to three days rock climbing or repelling, and Challenge events!

Fishing in Richmond, VA
October 2013
Join Virginia Fishing Adventures for a weekend of camping and fishing on a private farm in Hanover County. All participants will learn conventional fishing tactics for largemouth bass, bluegill, and crappie, while fishing a farm pond on the property. Participants 9 and up will learn fly-fishing tactics and casting. We will have sit-on-top kayaks and jon boats to explore all of the areas the 20+ acre pond has to offer. All fishing equipment, food, and tents are provided.
Thanks to donor support, The Little Warriors A Brian Bill Project will cover all costs of the adventure. Registration is NOW OPEN for children of Navy SEALs, aged 6 and up. (Must be able to get to Virginia Beach for transportation to Richmond)

Canyoneering in Moab, UT

The Little Warriors A Brian Bill Project provides outdoor adventure to the children of Navy SEALs & Naval Special Warfare Personnel. The Little Warriors, a memorial non-profit founded by Amy Bill Kutney, sister of Navy SEAL Brian Bill, has teamed up with Outward Bound to bring the best possible adventure to you.
Canyoneering is the sport of exploring and navigating rugged, often steep-walled, and narrow canyons. Nowhere is this sport more challenging than in Utah, whose spectacular terrain features huge mesas, towering mountains, ancient rock paintings, and cliff dwellings of Native Americans.
Course Features
Certified Wilderness Instructors will teach students the skills necessary for movement over rock, spotting techniques, and proper packing of a backpack, & then progress to advanced movements, such as stemming, chimneying & bouldering, and roped techniques, such as rappelling, knot tying and rope handling.
The Course puts emphasis on leadership development, self-reliance, physical fitness and teamwork.

Day 2-5 Backpacking, Hiking, Rappelling, Canyoneering
Day 6 Final Challenge Event, Course Completion, Good Byes!
